Goodfellas Review: The Best Gangster Movie

Hey guys, I’m here with a review of Goodfellas. This is Martin Scorsese’s masterpiece about the mob.

The story is about Henry Hill, a young man who gets involved with the mafia and rises through the ranks. The movie follows his life from a kid to a full-time gangster and eventually to his downfall.

What I loved is how real the movie feels. It’s based on a true story, and you can tell. Everything feels authentic and raw. There’s no glamorization of the mafia like in other movies. It shows the violence and the paranoia.

GoodFellas

The acting is incredible. Ray Liotta as Henry, Joe Pesci as Tommy, and Robert De Niro as Jimmy are all amazing. Joe Pesci is terrifying in this movie. You never know when he’s going to snap.

The pacing is great. The movie moves fast, and you’re never bored. The famous tracking shot through the Copacabana club is incredible.

What could be better is that some parts are hard to watch. The violence is brutal, and you feel uncomfortable at times.

If you like gangster movies or just great cinema, watch Goodfellas. It’s a classic for a reason.

I give it a 9 out of 10. One of the best films ever made.
